Weather conditions

Westridge Road in New London, submitted by Joyce.
This weekend we experienced a severe Nor’ Easterner which dropped up to 2 feet of snow in some areas of New York and New England.  Those along the coast seemed to be hardest hit.  Because of these wintry conditions, several games were cancelled.  Congratulations to those teams who played the scheduled games but also importantly, congratulations to those teams who withdrew from the games due to weather-related hazardous driving.  The League fully supports teams withdrawing from scheduled games due to arrhythmia-provoking dangerous weather conditions.  Indeed, our League scheduler, Dave Goyer, will work with teams to either proactively reschedule games when we know that a storm is imminent over the weekend or reactively reschedule games that required cancellation due to weather conditions.  The safety of our players, coaches, parents, and officials is a primary focus of our League.
